Carlee Russell’s ex-boyfriend said he was “blindsided” and “disgusted” by the 25-year-old nursing student staging a hoax that led authorities to believe she went missing after stopping to help a child wandering along an Alabama highway in his diapers. It was revealed during a press conference, that Carlee did in fact fabricate the elaborate story for reasons unknown to authorities and the general public.
The ex-boyfriend had previously come to the lying Lolita's defense, when he publicly asked for social media users and members of the community to discontinue "bullying" Carlee over what is now confirmed as a disgusting hoax.
It is unclear what Carlee or those close to her knew about her disappearance, or the reasons behind such a cruel and unfortunate hoax, which brought the city of Hoover Alabama to their knees with worry.
When asked if Carlee would face criminal charges, a representative for the Hoover County Police Department stated publicly that "Anything is on the table" and stated that they are still actively investigating and gathering information. Many have called for Carlee's arrest or admission into a psychiatric hospital following the latest developments.
